1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PulseRSS ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and PulseRSS ("we," "us," or "our").

2. License to Use

2.1 Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the App on iOS devices you own or control
• Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Access features based on your subscription tier (Free or Pro)

2.2 License Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Distribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the App to third parties
• Use automated scripts or bots to abuse the App's functionality
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks

3. User Account and Subscriptions

3.1 Account Responsibility

PulseRSS does not require account creation—your data is stored locally on your device. However, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your iOS device
• Managing your Apple ID and App Store purchases
• Protecting your iCloud account if you enable iCloud sync

3.2 Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

PulseRSS offers a free version with limited features and a Pro subscription unlocked via in-app purchase:

• Payment: All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle payment directly.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can cancel anytime via iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.
• Refunds: Refund requests must be directed to Apple. We do not control Apple's refund policies.
• Price Changes: Subscription prices may change with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions will not be affected until renewal.

3.3 Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, you will be charged the full subscription price at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends.

4. User Content and Conduct

4.1 RSS Feed Subscriptions

You are solely responsible for:

• The RSS feeds you subscribe to and the content they provide
• Ensuring you have the right to access and cache third-party content
• Complying with the terms of service of RSS feed providers

4.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not use PulseRSS to:

• Subscribe to feeds containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Bypass paywalls or access content you are not authorized to view
• Scrape or mass-download content for redistribution
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 Ownership

PulseRSS, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Third-Party Content

RSS feeds and articles displayed in the App are owned by their respective publishers. We do not claim ownership of third-party content. The App merely provides a tool to access and organize publicly available RSS feeds.

5.3 User Data

You retain ownership of your personal data (feed subscriptions, settings, etc.) stored on your device. By using the App, you grant us no rights to this data, except as necessary to provide App functionality.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of PulseRSS is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Key privacy highlights:

• All content processing (AI summaries, full-text extraction, search) happens on your device.
• We do not track your reading habits or store article content on our servers.
• Optional iCloud sync is end-to-end encrypted by Apple.

7. Apple Intelligence and On-Device Processing

PulseRSS uses Apple Intelligence for on-device AI summaries. By using this feature:

• You acknowledge that AI-generated summaries may not always be accurate or complete.
• All processing happens locally on your device; no data is sent to external AI servers.
• Apple Intelligence availability depends on your iOS version and device compatibility.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or reliability of AI-generated content.
